She is so darn cute!

Cat and I have been amazed that suddenly we are parents are entrusted with the care of this precious girl. We think that we really lucked out too. Cat and Elizabeth have been able to learm how to breast feed comfortably- this was reassuring especially after hearing stories from numerous friends about how hard it can be. Elizabeth sleeps well and is so far very even tempered. We really do feel blessed. Catherine thinks that she looks a bit more like me, Jackson. I think that she acts more like her mother, being so calm and easy going. Although, today, Elizabeth did surprise Catherine by promptly wetting herself as soon as Catherine had taken off her diaper. Ya, we are rookies.

She is still alive!

It's a record. She's been in our care for two complete days and she is still kicking and pooping. We hope to continue setting records for a long time to come. She doing much better than the plant that Claudia bought us right when we moved to Milwaukee. We have to thank all of our friends out here in Milwaukee for visiting us! Thank you! 2 days old!

We have survived 2 days with Baby Elizabeth and are in heaven! She is still very healthy and has started to sleep a ton. She got her blood drawn today and was a champ, unlike her mother. Catherine is feeling better each day and is very happy to eat more than just ice chips! Jackson is gearing up for finals this week as well as taking good care of his girls. We have had lots of visitors and offers for help and are so grateful to all our friends and family! Thanks everyone!

Elizabeth is here!

After leaking a bit on Friday afternoon, Catherine reluctanctly called the clinic and they told us to come in. I feel so bad, Catherine drove herself to the ER and I walked across the street from school and met her in the parking lot. Long and short, after being placed on oxytocin for 12+ hours, Cat's labor stalled at dialation measurement of 5cm and refused to progress. At that point, they decided to do a c-section and now we have beautiful elizabeth. We thank God for such a blessing.
